Here are the top features on the new FNB App

Johannesburg - The refreshed FNB App went live a few days ago as part of FNB’s effort to reimagine the user experience of its digital interfaces. The FNB App is a go-to one-stop shop for millions of customers, with over 1 billion digital interactions in the last 12 months, and it now looks and feels different with easier navigation.

The new app is jam-packed with exciting new features to provide individuals and businesses with a more inclusive, user-friendly, and safer digital experience.

Some of its exciting new features include:

  • Bottom-of-the-screen navigation – The 'menu,' 'home,' 'My profile,' and 'messages' tabs are all within a thumb's reach, making it much easier to use the app with one hand.
  • Personalise your app by customising the appearance and features of your home screen by choosing the most frequently used features or functions that are important to you or your business.
  • Chat with friends and family via the FNB App - The FNB App’s secure messaging now allows customers to text other FNB customers who are in their device’s contact list.
  • ChatPay - Like secure chat messaging, this payment feature allows customers to pay anyone in their contact list via text messaging without the need for an account number. ChatPay is accessible directly from messages and also via the 'Pay' tab and any funds paid reflect immediately in your account.
  • A Security Centre - It's never been easier to report and prevent fraud when you bank with FNB. Customers can report fraud, view the latest scams, or block their profiles to prevent fraudulent activity.

Head of Digital at FNB, Giuseppe Virgillito, says, "We're excited to provide a new look and feel, and user experience to customers who use our digital interfaces. The new design of our app considered customer feedback as well as our transition to a platform business. We fully understand the importance of making it simple for our customers to manage their money,” he says.
