Adv John Simpson appointed as new Ombud for Financial Services Providers
Pretoria - The Minister of Finance, Mr Enoch Godongwana, has appointed Adv John Simpson as the Ombud for Financial Services Providers (FAIS Ombud).
Having served as a Magistrate, General Manager (Ombudsman for Banking Services), legal consultant and recently a full-time Tribunal member at the National Consumer Tribunal, Adv Simpson brings with him a wealth of experience to the role.
He replaces Ms. Thobile Masina, who was appointed as the acting Ombud, since 13
September 2022. His appointment is for a period of two (2) years, effective 1 November 2022.
